Your in-person specimen collection is included in the price of your DNA test. The first 25 roundtrip miles are included at no additional charge. If your appointment location exceeds the included travel distance, we’ll calculate any additional mileage ($0.75 per roundtrip mile) and confirm it with you before your appointment is scheduled. There are never any surprise travel charges.

Shipping

Expedited overnight shipping included.

Every SneakPeek Clinical package includes expedited overnight shipping to the laboratory at no additional charge.

  • To qualify for same-day shipment, collection generally must be completed by 3:00 PM Monday through Friday or 12:00 PM Saturday, subject to appointment and carrier availability. Specimens collected after the applicable cutoff are shipped on the next available shipping day.
  • The laboratory generally provides results the next day after receiving the specimen.

NorthStar prepares and ships eligible specimens promptly. Delivery and result timing may be affected by weather, holidays, carrier disruptions, laboratory circumstances, or other events outside NorthStar’s control.

The whole process is handled by one coordinator, and your appointment is confirmed before a collector is dispatched.

  3. 3Answer a short medical history screen and review the acknowledgements.
  4. 4Pay securely online — the package price plus any travel fee is shown before checkout.
  5. 5A coordinator confirms your appointment, and a collector performs the blood draw in person.
  6. 6The laboratory processes the sample and delivers your results.

Important: SneakPeek Clinical is intended for fetal sex determination and is not a prenatal genetic screening test. It is not a relationship test and is not prepared for court, child support, or immigration use. NorthStar performs specimen collection only; the laboratory partner performs all analysis and delivers all results.

How early can SneakPeek Clinical be collected?
Collection can occur once the pregnancy has reached at least 6 weeks. During ordering we confirm gestational age from either the first day of the last menstrual period or the estimated due date.
What does the price include?
The $149.00 package includes the laboratory kit, in-person mobile blood collection, laboratory processing, shipping to the laboratory, and results delivery by the laboratory. Travel fees apply only outside the included service distance.
Who performs the blood draw?
A trained NorthStar collector performs the maternal blood draw in person at your home, workplace, medical office, or another approved location. We do not offer mail-in or self-collected kits.
Who issues the results?
The SneakPeek Clinical laboratory partner performs the analysis and delivers the results directly. NorthStar performs specimen collection and coordination only.
Is this a prenatal genetic screening test?
No. SneakPeek Clinical is intended for fetal sex determination. It does not screen for chromosomal conditions. If you are looking for prenatal screening, review our NIPT service instead.
Why would my order need review before scheduling?
Certain medical histories — including transfusions, transplants, donor egg pregnancies, and surrogate pregnancies — can affect cell-free DNA testing. If you report one, our team reviews the order before confirming your appointment.
