NIPT Coordination With In-Person Michigan Collection.
NIPT is a coordinated service rather than an instant online order. A coordinator reviews your timing, laboratory requirements, and provider involvement, then arranges an in-person maternal blood collection.
A coordinated screening, handled end to end.
Because prenatal screening is clinical information, we confirm the details with you and the laboratory partner before anything is scheduled or charged.
- Coordinator review of gestational timing and laboratory requirements.
- Guidance on involving your healthcare provider before collection.
- In-person maternal blood collection by trained NorthStar personnel.
- Shipping and case coordination with the laboratory partner.
- A written quote before any payment is requested.
- Results delivered by the laboratory partner, not by NorthStar.
Your in-person specimen collection is included in the price of your DNA test. The first 25 roundtrip miles are included at no additional charge. If your appointment location exceeds the included travel distance, we’ll calculate any additional mileage ($0.75 per roundtrip mile) and confirm it with you before your appointment is scheduled. There are never any surprise travel charges.
Important: NIPT is a screening test, not a diagnostic test, and it is not a relationship test. Results should be reviewed with a healthcare provider and are not prepared for court, child support, or immigration use. NorthStar performs specimen collection and coordination only.
