Informational Paternity Testing
This test is intended for individuals seeking private information about a possible biological relationship. It includes in-person specimen collection by NorthStar Lab Services and laboratory analysis through our partner laboratory.
Although specimens are collected in person, this test does not use the formal identity-verification and documented chain-of-custody process required for legal DNA testing. The results are not intended for court, child support, custody, immigration, probate, inheritance, birth certificate changes, government benefits, or other official purposes.
If there is any possibility that the results may be needed for a legal or official purpose, select Legal DNA Testing instead.
View Legal DNA TestingThis test evaluates whether an alleged father is the biological father of a child. The base test includes one alleged father and one child. Participation by the biological mother is optional but may be recommended in some cases.
